This specialist will be an experienced Solution Architect who has worked with a mixture of different team sizes and types. They must understand the underlying principles of Scrum and Kanban ways of working.

The specialist will report to the Lead Architect and will work closely with the Product Owner, Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, DevOps, Business Analysts, Solution Architects and Infrastructure Architects.

Our Central Government client require a Security Architect to help deliver the Digital Programme. The work will focus on supporting the Border Crossing project which is delivering new border control software to the UK borders and a replacement for the current watchlisting systems. The project is being delivered using agile, uses cloud and physical infrastructure and handles sensitive material.

Key Skills / Experience

* Defining Data Architecture for systems at UK-OFFICIAL and above

* Development and delivery of Big Data systems at UK-OFFICIAL and above

* Design of relational database solutions, including Postgres

* Experience of planning of the delivery of big data solutions

* Experience with large data ingest designs

* Experience with Big Data security controls

* Collaboration with Hadoop vendors to agree a product change roadmap

* Experience of AWS cloud architecture and services

* Experience of the definition of deployment approach for Big Data platforms

* Will have a background in Technology with proven success in a complex programmes
