Billing Manager - Maternity Cover

Role:Billing Manager - Maternity cover - 12 months contract

Location: Surrey / M3 / Hampshire area

Hours: Full Time or Part Time (3 days per week) negotiable

Essential experience: Billing / Telecoms (ideally Abillity Billing platform)

Benefits: Salary up to £40,000

Our client is an established B2B Telecoms supplier and are located on the borders of Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire. They provide a combined platform of telephony products, including on site and cloud hybrid solutions, VoIP, SIP, lines, calls and Connectivity They are now seeking an experienced Billing Manager or Billing Analyst for this role. The position is a 12 month maternity cover contract, for the right candidate the client is flexible on part time / full time or even some home working.

The responsibility of the billing manager is to ensure accurate, informed invoicing to our customers, maintaining and developing efficiency in our billing software and reviewing and making recommendations in product profitability to the business.

The role will require excellent organisation and communication skills. There will be communication with senior management and day to day involvement with key carriers and customers. An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is critical.

The billing manager will be responsible for the day to day contact our billing software provider.

Good IT skills are required, in particular a good intermediate working knowledge of excel. Systems that will be used within this role include Abillity and Salesforce.

This role is an interim position, to cover maternity leave, for a minimum 12 months.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include production of the monthly bill run but also include other tasks to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the information contained in the billing system and support of the businesses regarding information on telephony product pricing and profitability.

Performing the monthly bill run. This will include several monthly tasks :

*Checking customers and contracts have been added to Abillity correctly

*Processing call rejects

*Processing fixed rejects

*Raising any invoice discrepancies to carriers and following until credit received

*Updating call tariffs when required

*Checking all services are up to date and billing correctly on Abillity

*Ensuring the billing system is set up and ready for new suppliers. Getting sample CDRs and ensuring loaders are ready

*Working with the Abillity bureau team to ensure the bill run is sent on time and correctly

*Reviewing and producing monthly internal bill run reports for senior management to approve bill run

*Production of internal telephony product profitability reporting

*Supplier invoice checking

*Responsibility for ensuring the internal price list is kept up to date

*Reviewing and actioning the larger more complicated billing queries

*Liaising with our sales team eg with respect to pricing including free minute plans

*Ensuring the billing is adhering to Ofcom Regulations

*Helping with internal pricing queries and more complicated orders

Requirements

*Experience of using a billing software, preferably Abillity

*Ability to actively work with all internal departments to provide input with pre sale orders and product review.

*Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence at a senior management level

*Proactive awareness of new telephony product developments, providing input and tactical direction to the business

*Proven organisational and time management skills and the ability to work to tight time frames

*Excellent client and customer facing communication skills, both written and verbal

*Personal confidence, professional approach and self-belief

*Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with good overall efficient IT skills.
