The potential applications for UAVs are seemingly endless; whether it's Amazon exploring drone delivery systems, companies looking for life-saving blood/organ transportation, or being used to save swimmers stranded off-shore.

The UAV industry's potential might be endless, how about yours? Do you feel like your contributing to a cutting edge technology, or do you feel stifled by your current career prospects. Do you feel like another cog in the machine?

It doesn't have to be like that. The reason so many Engineers prefer start-ups is the sense of involvement with a company and its future. You can directly see the effects of your influence and input. The decisions you make when designing a wing, a propeller, a rotor etc. can affect the whole trajectory of a project. You are working somewhere that rewards innovation rather than demands conformity.

If you're looking for a job that you can turn up to and go through the motions every day until pay day, then this is not for you. If you want to take pride in your work, if you want to turn up in the morning and question what you can improve, then you might be the perfect fit.

So, maybe you can even compromise on facilities to get in on the ground floor of something truly exciting. Here's the thing, you don't even have to do that.

This company has an amazing working relationship with a giant in the field, and they are really benefiting. They get the use of beautiful, state of the art facilities. Think wind tunnel testing, large office space, gym on site, delicious subsidised meals.
