Scientific Software Engineer, Data Analytics.(Physics, Engineering, Mathematics).

Working in a complex engineering environment processing data utilised to solve practical problems, your job will be to dig into that data, get more out of it and apply this information to new types of problems.

Ideal for a data scientist with an interest in physics, mathematics or engineering or vice versa. Skills in both Data manipulation and programming in Matlab, Python, C# or C++ required.

The ideal candidate will have the skills necessary to write scripts / programs to handle and process a variety of data sources and have awareness of techniques used in data science and analysis.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

* Matlab, Python, C# or C++ (or equivalent language) experience

* Experience and relevant qualifications in a relevant technical field (Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc), Must have experience working with data and having successfully drawn meaningful conclusions

* Must be able to communicate results to possibly non-engineering staff

DESIRABLE SKILLS

In addition to the above, the ideal candidate would have at least one of the following:

* PHD level academics or equivalent in depth experience

* Experience with the .NET (C#) ecosystem

* Experience with additional languages (C/C++, Python, R)

* Knowledge of statistics or machine learning

* Experience with parallel processing / grid computing / cloud
