Virtualisation Support Engineer - Newcastle - 2-3 Month Contract

My client, a large Outsourcing organisation are looking for a number Virtualisation Support Engineers to join them in Newcastle on a 2-3 Month Initial Contract. The role will be working within the Public Sector and can offer a competitive daily rate.

Project Background:

* The successful candidate will join an existing team of Server/Support Engineers providing technical infrastructure support to a number of Public Sector accounts.

* Provide expertise for IT infrastructure (e.g. servers, network), application infrastructure (e.g. SAP), and related services (e.g. Business Continuity) throughout the lifecycle of a deal in accordance with contractually established terms and conditions and established technical standards.

* Monitors service delivery compliance to budget, quality standards, and customers and/or internal businesses/end user requirements.

* Provides IT infrastructure and/or application infrastructure lifecycle technical support, including planning, project management, installation, on-going management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and de-installation, following operational policies and processes that are compliant with industry standards (e.g. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)).

Experience/Required Skills:

* Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience with the following technologies/disciplines;

* Citrix XenDesktop 7.x ideally 7.15, XenApp 6.5 configuration, troubleshooting and end user support.

* Citrix Provisioning Services

* Citrix storefront

* NetScaler

* Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, 2016

* HP Blade Systems and Virtual Connect Technologies

* VMWare Vsphere 6.x, 5.x

* AppSense

* DHCP, DNS, AD, IIS

* Networking
