ARM Linux Kernel Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

Location: Waterloo, London

Cyber-security is one of the hottest subject at the moment, and this company based in Waterloo are seeking a ARM Linux Kernel Engineer to join their team. Currently the company size is 14, but with continuous successes, they have been doubling in size every year. With this team structure, you'll get to know the team all by name, how they like their tea and pitch in your idea's to a team that values your ideas and help drive the company.

This cyber-security company have created unique products using hardware, firmware & software. You as the ARM Linux Kernel Engineer, will work part of the engineering team of 8. Their products includes a number of ARM-based system on chips running both Linux & Android which are integral to the end-to-end solution. You'll work on their low-level software running on these components and ensure their Linux and Android stacks incorporate the latest upstream software and are fully supported across all their hardware.

So what skill are they looking for?

*Experience with C and C++ low-level software development

*Linux Kernel development, porting, support and maintenance

*AOSP: Android porting to new hardware

*Embedded Systems development and the Yocto build system

*Porting and maintaining board support for custom hardware

*Don't worry if you don't have all of the above, some is great and the rest can be taught!
