Global Product Manager - Scientific Equipment

East Sussex (£50k+)

My client produces scientific equipment in the electron microscopy field. They're looking to hire a Product Manager who can fulfil the following responsibilities:

* Analyse the market and competitive landscape in equipment for SEM/ TEM applications

* Keep abreast of key developments in the life sciences and materials science markets

* Identify target markets by speaking with prospective customers

* Manage internal engineering teams to ensure product designs/ development are realised

* Develop long term relationships with customers

This person will be heavily involved in international business, mainly in the academic field. Some travel will be required to Asia and Mainland Europe, predominantly.

The successful candidate will need:

* A Product Management, Product Marketing or Business Development background in a scientific field (eg. life sciences, pharmaceutical, materials science, semiconductor)

* A solid understanding of electron microscopy from a 'general market' perspective

* Experience marketing high value capital equipment (preferred)

* The willingness to travel
