Job Purpose
We are currently looking for an innovative and pragmatic Hybrid Data Business Analyst with a "can-do" attitude to join our expert team. This role will require the individual to take responsibility for the effective ownership of end-to-end business analysis and requirements management across our Data Retention Project. The successful candidate will have experience of data & application architecture, be comfortable working with data, reporting, possess proactivity, great attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and must be a team player.
Responsibilities include
* As a Business Analyst within our tribe, you will capture high-level business requirements and translate them into concise, precise and actionable tickets.
* As a Data Business Analyst, you will define the right data retention strategy for the Tribe's services and work closely with the technology teams to build testing strategies to ensure there is no impact to the multiple consumers of the datasets.
* You will champion Lean thinking to ensure our squads are delivering value as efficiently as possible, and be willing to amicably challenge and scrutinise direction from senior stakeholders to surface the 'why' and enable collaborative problem solving.
* You will be an exceptional communicator and be as comfortable capturing complex requirements from senior stakeholders as you are briefing junior squad members.
* Your inquisitive nature will ensure we are always pushing to improve our processes and practices, whilst maintaining the flow of value into our customers.
* You will facilitate the delivery of high-quality software regularly, repeatedly and predictably within the parameters of our technology and our strategic business objectives.
* You will have a passion for Agile ways of working, and have experience of building highly productive relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery experts,
* Although you are not expected to be a solutionising SME you will be expected to grasp the fundamentals of our technology platforms and be able to communicate proposed technical solutions to senior stakeholders from across the business.
Essential skills/Knowledge
* The ability to produce high quality, well-structured documentation, ideally for Payments, Authentication, Verification & Customer Account projects
* ** Desirable ** Experience / knowledge of GDPR, specifically Data Retention & Anonymization.
* Proven experience of defining requirements for technology products or systems
* Experience in leading requirements gathering activities using a variety of structured techniques
* Experience of working within Agile project delivery teams.
* Experience in a client facing role at both a business and a technical level
* Possess strong data literacy skills
* The ability to adapt styles or the level of working depending on what is appropriate at the time
* An ability to 'think outside the box' and to come up with pragmatic resolutions to challenges / problems
* Will thrive in a fast paced working environment
* Self-managing, and will enjoy a varied and flexible workload
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Be positive, enthusiastic and have a "can-do" attitude
