PHP Developer required at a leading publisher, known for its commitment to quality and innovation. PHP Developer will be based in East London's Tech City, paying up to £65K. PHP Developer must be skilled in; PHP, Drupal 7, CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, Jira and AJAX. PHP Developer will be trusted to define an architectural direction and ensure technical solutions are aligned, and recommend a long-term strategic roadmap for all PHP and Drupal applications.

Essential Experience

·PHP

·Drupal 7 CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery

·developing application using Object Oriented PHP programming.

·Drupal, including custom module development, theme development, key contributed modules and core API

·Design principles for a scalable application

·Managing external vendors and developers

·Agile development

·Guiding the website's architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS

·Software Development workflow (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing)

·AJAX, HTML, Javascript, and CSS and components

·Maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites

·Ticket/release tracking systems, such as Jira

·Source control systems such as Git, etc.

·Build systems such as Jenkins, desirable

·Proficient with Solr

·Experience in integrating with API's

Ideal candidate will have five to ten years, programming experience, with strong knowledge of PHP and three to five years' experience developing responsive websites using Drupal 7.
