Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking System Administrator to join a prestigious client located in Kortrijk, Belgium. This is a contract position starting from the 22/01/2018, running until the 31/12/2018.

Leiedal is an Intercity Association for rural development in South-West Flanders which is looking to help build a dynamic and sustainable region so that it will be an attractive place to do business, to work, to live and to experience. This intermunicipal partnership guides the socio-economic and spatial development of 13 municipalities in and around the Kortrijk district. It was founded in 1960 and has the authority for spatial planning, economic expansion and reconversion.

Your New role :-

For this assignment, our client is ideally looking for someone in permanent employment, but because of the urgency of the assignment he wants to be able to call on a consultant. That is why contracts are always drawn up each month.

Your function:

You are responsible for the maintenance and management of the local network, the local server infrastructure (physical and virtual), the fiber optic connections to Belnet and the offsite back-up infrastructure. You also give IT support internally to the Leiedal employees and the house partners (70 people).

Your Skills and Qualifications :-

Essential Skills :-

- Very good knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory.

- You speak and write Dutch fluently.

- Good knowledge of server virtualisation and storage systems.

- Thorough knowledge of network security, antivirus and firewall management.

- Good general practical knowledge of hardware and software.

- Knowledge of the organizational context of local authorities or you are prepared to acquire them.

- You have a Bachelors degree in ICT or equivalent, supplemented with demonstrable experience or a similar profile with at least 5 years of relevant experience in system management.

- You can work well in a team.

- You are eager to learn, focused on results and quality, and are open to change.

- Sense of initiative, customer orientation and decisiveness are your strengths.
