LEAD CLOUD ENGINEER: (AWS, LINUX, CHEF/ANSIBLE, JENKINS, RUBY/PYTHON)

The work location is in London and is a 9 month contract. Pay Rate is 600-650 Per Day.

Working for a client on the forefront of a major Digital Change.

Candidate must be willing and eligible to undergo SC Clearance

Must Have Essential Key skills & Background:

Key Skills and Experience:

* AWS Cloud certified (or equivalent experience greater than 2 years) in either Developer , Associate or SysOps Administrator - Associate;

* Strong background in building out AWS cloud infrastructure;

* Linux (RHEL/RedHat 7);

* Automation of infrastructure provisioning and management (Chef, Jenkins Knowledge);

* Scripting in Ruby/Python; and

* Experience with DevOps methodology and Continuous Delivery models

Job Responsibilities:

* The Cloud Team Leader will be responsible for the management of the team ensuring it meets the agreed overall Team objectives through an Agile Sprint based methodology.

The team lead role will include the following management responsibilities:

* define the plan and associated Sprints

* be accountable for the teams delivery and ensuring milestones and sprint %'s are achieved

* manage the team workload but also act as a build specialist as required

* work collaboratively with their equivalent Team leads for Technical Build and Customer demand to ensure plans are aligned and resources (both people and technology) are optimised across the three teams

* Communicating progress to the wider Programme Team

* Assessing and managing risks and Issues and escalating where blockers are inhibiting progress with the build industrialisation

The Cloud Team lead will be required to have the same technical experience as the engineers and in addition the following leadership experience:

* 5+ years' experience as a PM or Technical Lead on AWS Cloud build and deployment projects

* Experience working in fast moving development teams

* Working within the Agile framework including experience running daily stand ups, Sprint reviews and retrospectives, Backlog planning, User Story definition

* Confident working with Solution and Enterprise architects to ensure pragmatic design is delivered

* Experience and knowledge of AWS's standard methodologies and frameworks for build and migrate
