£300 - £440/day

UI Development/ MSVC++ and MFC/Software Testing

We are looking for a Contract UI Developer to join the software development team of a Global Consultancy who are providing structural and geotechnical engineering software to customers worldwide.

We are looking for a UI developer to join the team for an initial period of 9 months and potentially for longer, to assist with updating user interfaces in the programs. The role will provide an opportunity to work on established programs with guidance from colleagues.

The role may involve interaction with program users in workshops and feedback sessions in conjunction with our UI/UX specialist.

As the UI Developer you will be expected to attend and participate in team meetings, group meetings and user forums on a regular basis.

Role

           Software Specification: Assimilate the needs of the Firm and the external market through day-to-day interaction with users and discussion with clients. Assist clients in arriving at appropriate solutions.

           Software Design: Develop program design to the satisfaction of other team members. Keep up to date with current methods in the industry.

           Software Coding: Write program code in an appropriate programming language, currently MSVC++ and MFC.

           Software Testing

           Software Documentation

           Software Support

           Disseminating Information to users

           Software Training to users

Requirements and skills

           Candidates should be degree educated and ideally have 3 - 5 years of professional experience in user interface design and programming.

           Good verbal and written communication in English.

           Candidates should be self-motivated, proactive individuals, and collaborative team members, with a focus on satisfying the needs of the software users.

           Capable of solving complex software development problems.
