Junior IT Support Engineer  

Ash, Near Farnham, Surrey  

Up to £26,000 Plus Training, 23 Days’ Holiday  

As a leading technology provider, our client uses the latest technologies to manage and maintain their customers’ IT systems. Operating at the forefront of their industry, they work very closely with a range of schools and colleges, and are now looking to recruit a Junior IT Support Engineer who will be site-based at a school in Ash, near Farnham.

As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving user support issues, as well as assisting with the administration of the school’s network and IT systems.  

To be considered for this role, you must have experience of supporting and administering some of the following technologies:  

- Microsoft Server 2008r2 or 2012r2  

- Active Directory and Windows Updates  

- Windows 7 and 10, Microsoft Office 2013 / 2016 and Office 365  

- Network switches and wireless access points  

- Anti-virus  

Most importantly, as a Junior IT Support Engineer, it is essential that you are a clear and logical thinker with a quality approach to customer service. You should also be a good communicator, ensuring that the teaching and support staff at the school are kept up-to-date with the progress of issue resolution.  

You will receive hands-on and classroom based training to help you progress and gain additional qualifications.  

The successful candidate must live within a commutable distance to the school in Ash, or be willing to relocate. As this position is based within a school, the successful candidate will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
