up to £95,000 plus benefits
A national main contractor currently has a requirement for a Senior Tender Planner to be based from Farringdon (Central London). Following a long period of steady growth, our client is seeking to grow the team with an individual who will take ownership of the tendering, freeing up others to focus on delivering existing live projects across the London region; the role will be roughly 80% tender-biased and running the odd project when required.
Projects typically span the construction sector although their current portfolio is particularly busy in commercial offices, public sector (including EFA projects) and mixed use/regeneration schemes.Our client has been careful to achieve cautious growth in London, not wanting to expand too quickly and have decided to create this position due to the sheer workload of the Planning team.
Working closely with and reporting to the Regional Director (who is a Planner himself), the successful individual will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of construction projects, spanning anything from £10-£150m each without the politics that can sometimes be found in larger planning teams. Essentially, this role will suit a self-sufficient Senior Planner who enjoys tender planning and wants a wider variety of projects, in a comfortable environment.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Construction planning experience within the UK and some first-hand experience of the London market.
- Significant tender planning experience.- Proficient with Asta Powerproject software.
- Able to work under minimal supervision.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
