Mechanical Design Engineer (Small Components)

Colchester, Essex

£40,000 - £45,000 + Training + pension

Excellent opportunity on offer for a Mechanical Design Engineer in an expanding, cutting edge bespoke Design Company, looking to design and build custom products.

Are you a mechanical design engineer with experience designing Small Components? Do you have a proven record of designing from concept to completion using a 3D package?

Established for over 30 years, this company Design, Develop and Manufacture specialist electronic products for blue chip clients worldwide. Due to ongoing expansion through their loyal client base, they are looking for a Design Engineer to become a key member within their highly skilled team.

In this role you will be designing and developing a range of special purpose products for use in military and scientific products. You will be working closely with the Electrical designers and development teams to bring new ideas to life as well as working with a team on larger developments on brand new technology.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced mechanical design engineer with experience of designing using 3D Solidworks. You will have been involved in the full process of design for manufacture working with bespoke Products. You will be strong, competent, confident and ambitious person looking to play an important part in the company's future.

The Role:

*Hands-on design of special purpose Products

*working with a team of engineers to create a product

*Working on developments and modifications

*£40,000 - £45,000 + Training + pension

The Person:

*Experience working as a mechanical design engineer

*Experience of using 3D Design packages

*Proven track record working from concept to completion

*Experience with the Design of Small components

*Driven, determined and ambitious
