QA Engineer, Tester, Automation, Selenium, Cucumber, Java, BDD, Agile, Quality Assurance

A global client providing Information Solution is currently looking for a QA Engineer to join their team in their Central London office. This role would suit a QA with a few years’ experience who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity to develop their skills and work on a variety of projects.

The successful QA Engineer will have experience testing web applications and working in an Agile environment working in a cross functional team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in changing the way that web products are delivered within the company. This role would suit a QA Engineer who is keen to learn and develop their skill and has a passion for technology as you will have the opportunity to work with emerging technologies.

Key Tasks

           Work as part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional development team

           Work with Product Managers, BAs and Developers to analyse requirements and refine acceptance criteria

           Take ownership of and responsibility for the design and development of all aspects of automated acceptance and regression testing

           Help to guide the overall development process in order to improve quality and flow of work particularly in terms of development practices that ease automation Conduct exploratory testing

Essential Skills / Experience

           Experience in automated testing of web applications and web services

           Agile experience with Scrum / Kanban / XP

           BDD and TDD

           Experience with automated test tools such as Cucumber / Selenium / Selenium WebDriver / Selenium Grid

           Experience with Java, JavaScript or other programming languages

           A creative, innovative approach to quality engineering with the drive to improve existing strategies and processes

Desired Skills / Experience

           Experience of non-functional testing

           Experience with Node.js and React.js

           Experience with JIRA and Confluence
