Senior Security Consultant / Manager (Home Based)
Security Consultant / Security Manager / CREST Essential / Penetration Testing / Permanent / Home Based / London
My rapidly growing client is looking for a Senior Security Consultant who can manage and grow a team of Security Consultants, and be a trusted adviser for their customers. The role includes practice leadership, business development, people management, delivery and project management. In addition, the Senior Security Consultant / Manager role involves assisting in defining future service offerings and providing thought leadership by speaking at conferences, publishing white papers and blogging.
Key Responsibilities:
*Performing Web Apps, Mobile Apps, and Network Penetration Testing and delivering results to clients.
*Solving Application and Network Security problems.
*Participate in providing mentoring support and guidance to team members to help grow skills and capabilities.
*Oversee the review, approve or modify delivery processes and best practices.
*Ensure consistent quality of delivery recommendations.
*Support the troubleshooting of issues.
*Assist with the developing automated tools.
*Creates internal knowledge about key technologies, tools and methodologies.
*Hire, train, and mentor security engineers/consultants.
Key Skill and Experience required:
*Mobile and Network penetration testing experience.
*Extensive knowledge of Http, networking protocols, and wireless networking protocols.
*Scripting experience in one or more of: Ruby, Python, Bash.
*Strong background of internet technologies (Http, Bluetooth, RF, Near Field Communication, or other wireless technologies).
*BSEE/BSCE with 6 years of relevant and practical experience, MSEE/MSCE with 4 years of relevant and practical experience.
*Desired Security Certifications: CREST - CCT Web and/or CCT-Inf
*Prior experience with Security teams or leading Security team is preferred.
*Strong knowledge password storage and communication mechanisms (LM, NTLM, etc.).
*Understanding of SQL and multiple database platforms.
*Desire to learn and grow skills.
*Enjoys solving technical problems and helping others.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
*Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
This is a home based role which will require travel throughout the UK, Europe and also the US. In the long term this role will be based out of London.
