Urgent Project Contracts Manager Role, Near Chippenham, Civils/Construction, £60,000

Huxley Engineering are recruiting for one of their clients based near the Chippenham area who specialise in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical products within a highly regulated industry sector.

A vacancy has arisen for the role of Project/Contract Manager within the Projects Department of the Company.

Purpose of position:

Reporting to the Manager of Projects, the role is to lead the management, planning and implementation of large scale infrastructure projects through to successful completion.

Professional experience and/or qualifications:

* Experience in managing commercial aspects of large OE projects

* Civil / Construction Management experience preferred

* Contract Management

* Experience in managing technical projects at a system level

* Extensive experience in a rail project environment preferred

* Understanding the principles and experience in the mobilisation of large scale onsite installations

* Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

* Knowledge of project management tools and techniques

* Degree qualified in engineering or technical experience

* Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, change management and risk management

* CDM 2007 regulation understanding

Additional Requirements:

* Able and willing to travel as required, including extensive foreign travel

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the planning and implementation of the project, develop full scale project plans

* Prime point of contact for the customer

* Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

* Define project tasks and resource requirements, manage project resource allocation

* Manage project budget and finances

* Track project deliverables using appropriate tools

* Provide leadership and support the Project team

* Quality assurance and risk management

* Constantly monitor and report on progress to all stakeholders (internal and external)

* Implement project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs and improve margin
