IT Systems Engineer/Project Manager - Based in Edinburgh - Up to £45k

My client is a leading Law Firm looking for an IT Systems Engineer with Project Management experience to join their IT team based in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Head of IT, the key purpose of the role is to maintain and enhance the firm's infrastructure through the maintenance and development of technology systems to achieve business objectives.

This is an amazing opportunity for a candidate with a technical background who wants to develop and further their career as a Technical Project Manager.

Core Responsibilities:

* Point of escalation for Service Desk

* System monitoring and checks

* System maintenance/development

* Server and infrastructure hardware support

* Manage day to day operational tasks and projects

* Communicate with developers to define and document questions; liaise with business to gather new requirements and explain feasibility

* Submit project status reports, and follow through reacting to changes

* Identify business requirements, creating strategies to advance the firms technology

The successful candidate will have experience with the following technologies:

* Solid experience of using VMware 6, Server 2012 R2& 2016, Exchange 2016, SQL Server, SCOM, SCCM and Windows 10.

* Knowledge of Microsoft applications, document management systems, practice management systems and IP telephony

* Understanding of software packages used in the legal profession such as imanage, Elite Enterprise, BigHand, DocsCorp or equivalent

* Understanding of regulations that apply to accreditation's such as ISO27001, ISO9001 and GDPR
