Senior Project Manager - 3 Months - Abingdon, Oxfordshire
My client is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a variety of onsite projects based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The role will be full time on site and may require some out of hours working, the client can offer a competitive daily rate.
The role is working in a global business and technology leader, innovating in research and development to shape the future of society at large. Working in a company always innovating and thinking ahead.
Role Description:
The Senior Project Manager needs to be able to work autonomously within the team with the ability to take crucial decisions in regards to leading and shaping their own programmes. It is critical that the Senior Project Manager is commercially astute but also customer focussed with excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate and influence both internally and externally with senior business stakeholders up to and including CEO level.
Required Experience:
It is critical that the Senior Project Manager is commercially astute but also customer focussed with excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate and influence both internally and externally with senior business stakeholders up to and including CEO level.
In addition they will have:
* A degree or equivalent working experience
* Experience of managing diverse and cross-functional large scale IT transition projects and programmes.
* Prince 2 Practitioner qualification
* MSP Practitioner qualification
* Exceptional financial management and control skills and experience.
* Completed ITIL V3 Foundation training (Desirable)
* Experience of working in an Agile environment (Desirable)
* Knowledge and experience of working in the full Software Delivery Life Cycle
As Senior Project Manager you will work with a large and diverse stakeholder group in both the UK and India - ranging from Directors, Solution Architects, Developers and Service Delivery Managers, to Product Development, Operation Support, and Business Development teams. Keeping these stakeholders 'in the loop', negotiating requirements and regularly managing.
Other key relationships may include:
* Government departments - such as the Department for Education (UK)
* International Examination awarding bodies - eg International Baccalaureate, AQA, Cambridge Assessments, OUP.
* International Government Educational Departments
* Executive board
* Senior Management team.
