ORACLE SOLARIS CONSULTANT: (SOLARIS, OVM, CLUSTER, LDOMS, M7)

The work location is in TELFORD on a Short Term Contract paying between 450 and 475 per day.

The role is working in a global business and technology leader, innovating in research and development to shape the future of society at large. Working in a company always innovating and thinking ahead.

Must Have Essential Key skills & Background:

* Oracle OVM for Sparc 3.4 (running on M7 hardware)

* Migrating physical to virtual, including the need to convert Sun4u to Sun4v architecture where ZFS source roots are involved

* Sun Cluster 3.3 - running as global cluster within guest LDOMS

Nice to have

* Veritas experience useful for cluster disk groups within LDOM

* Migrating physical to virtual using flash Archive from SVM/UFS source roots

Tasks

* Work with CG to develop a detailed approach to migrate a physical Solaris 10 SUN4u source with ZFS root to a Solaris 10 LDOM on M7 - detailed enough to pass command instructions to 3rd party and assist with implementation in target environment.

* Work with CG to develop re-configuration instructions for physical Sun Cluster moving to LDOM Global Cluster and assist with implementation in target environment
