3rd Line Technical Support

Our client are currently looking for an experienced SC cleared 3rd Line Technical Support to work on an initial 3 month contract at their site in Surrey.

Applicants must have the following skills:

*Basic Networking knowledge.

*A working knowledge of each of the following, Solaris 11, Redhat, Sendmail/Proofpoint, Bluecoat SG Proxy, Esxi, McAfee Web Gateway, with an in-depth knowledge of at least one.

*Desirable working knowledge of each of the following Cisco, Juniper firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

*Ensuring that Systems Administration tasks are carried out as documented

*Resolving allocated incidents and logging all incident resolution activity in the service management tool

*Ensuring that SLA targets are achieved

*Performing the necessary performance tuning as directed

*Organising particular upgrades and necessary patching

*Following documented processes and contributing to their review

*Ensuring configuration management records are kept up to date and updating records after making any changes

*Undertaking problem management as directed and ensuring that problem records are kept up to date

*Where necessary liaising with suppliers to ensure the resolution of incidents and problems

*Supporting the delivery of special projects as directed

*Follow security procedures

Due to the nature of this client applicants with a current SC clearance are strongly encouraged to apply.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
