A Compliance Manager is required for a Tier 2 bank based in London.

The compliance function has over 300 compliance professionals from their London HQ and more compliance staff across their global offices.

Following a number of changes over the last three years, the compliance function at this bank has undergone a robust overhaul of their compliance function. They are viewed by many compliance professionals from outside the bank as somewhere they would really like to work.

This team we are recruiting for sits within the 2nd line of compliance and focuses on Authorisations that for the bank. You would be a compliance manager in this team

The team look at variations of permissions, approved persons, waiver of permissions, passporting, cancellations and change of controls and are looking for a compliance manager to join the team to specialise work such as:

* developing compliance control frameworks and processes relating to fca authorisation processes

* being an integral part of the MIFID II project to lead and deliver the authorisations element of it.

* reviewing and enhancing the internal process of how the authorisations process might need to be aligned or harmonised across the bank globally.

This compliance manager position will give you exposure to very senior members of the bank, from Compliance Directors to the executive committee and possibly even the board. As such, you must be comfortable present and push back ideas as and when required. Having this level of interaction to such senior individuals gives you the opportunity to build very important relationships with key decision makers across the bank.
