As a Software Tester, you will play a leading role in maintaining exceptional product quality levels for this market leading range of software solutions in the vehicle sales market.
Your responsibilities will range from test analysis & design through to test scripting, test execution and defect management. On that basis, the role is suited to test professionals with a broad testing skillset.
The organisation is undergoing significant transformation in terms of product suite and organisational processes and therefore the opportunity exists for the right candidate to play an instrumental role in defining the software testing lifecycle for this fast growing organisation. Experience of testing in an agile software environment is highly beneficial.
This is an exciting role for a high achieving tester seeking to broaden their skill-set and take responsibility for overall product quality at the same time as establishing a robust end-to-end testing regime. Experience (essential):
- 3+ years testing experience
- Experience of testing web-services and web based apps in a windows hosted environment
- Knowledge of TSQL
- Understanding BDD and hands-on experience of writing Gherkin statements
- 2+ years Agile experience within either or both Kanban/Scrum frameworks
- 1+ years use of defect management, test management using TFS or Visual Studio Team Services
- Capturing and reporting Sprint level testing and quality metrics
- Understanding how manual testing supports automation
Experience (ideal):
- Experience working on UI / Webservice test automation using any bespoke test automation frameworks
- Basic knowledge of C# or Java
- Knowledge of Selenium or similar
- Working knowledge of Git workflows
- Understanding of the principles of object oriented programming
- Knowledge of Microsoft .Net framework and it's use within an automation framework
- Understanding or hands-on assurance role for non-functional testing, not just limited to Performance and Security
