What will I be doing? 

As a Product Manager, you will become a key player in our client’s efforts to build their state-of-the-art data infrastructure. 

Specifically, you will: 

- Gather and understand the data and analytics requirements for the different Product and Operations Teams across the business 

- Translate requirements into user stories aligned to our client’s business priorities, as well as their tech and data strategies 

- Define priorities and work in an Agile environment to build and implement an outstanding platform 

- Communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences 

- Manage expectations and keep stakeholders and customers of the data platform in the loop 

- Report to the Director of Data 

What do I need? 

To join our client’s talented team, you will need experience of the following: 

- Product management in a data-driven organisation, where data is a quintessential part of the company’s business and strategy 

- Owning one or more products in an Agile environment in-line with the company’s vision and strategy 

- Big data infrastructure, ideally including Kafka, Google Cloud Platform services and Spark 

- Gathering thoughts and feedback from users and feeding this into the product strategy 

- Knowledge management and documentation and using this to implement strategies and identify best practice guidelines and evangelising them across the business 

- Keeping leaders well informed regarding the progress and status of your team through PowerPoint presentations and reports 

The following is also essential: 

- Exposure to, and ideally experience of, implementing data integrity and consistency processes, including automatic data consistency checks, exception reporting and data monitoring processes 

- A solid understanding of logging and tracking logistics, as well as the inner workings of A/B testing 

- Exposure to data science, BI, analytics tools and/or languages, such as Tableau, Python or Scala
