About the role:
We're looking for 3 Technical BAs to join us for a contract of approximately 6 months during a journey of multi-year investment in our core IT systems.
In these role we’re looking for someone to carry out a variety of tasks including: supporting the Project Manager during the Inception of the projects, collecting the requirements from the Business and the IT teams through workshops, meetings and documentation, writing user stories and business acceptance criteria for Developers and QA Analysts, planning the iterations, working with the whole project team for the completion of the stories and organising the UAT and supporting the systems developed by the project for a finite time after completion.
In these 3 roles we are looking for:
- A BA with Finance Experience
-A BA with Logistics Experience (Operations)
-A BA to support our Senior BA across several work streams.
About the Team:
It's an exciting time at Abcam, with a big focus on the IT Department as we are currently the key enabler for a Business Transformation project and implementing a new ERP system. This is a fast moving programme and we are implementing the right technologies, processes and decisions for the future growth of Abcam.
Within IT, we follow the Agile methodology predominantly, and also TDD and Continuous Integration; alongside other methodologies such as Waterfall. There are diverse set of skills, knowledge and experience within the Programme Team, focussing on Project Management, Business Analysis and Project Analysis, which help support the IT function in delivering key projects to Abcam.
You will have worked within an Agile environment and within a business with a web application focus and software product implementation. You have a strong understanding of the longer term delivery of business projects end to end. You will have previous ERP experience, preferably in Oracle.
If you have experience of data migration, product catalogue management, finance and procurement, cross functional integrations or knowledge of the life science market then this would all be advantageous, but isn't essential.
You will be able to influence and engage stakeholders and team members to reach common goals and develop strong working relationships throughout the business. Multi-tasking must be a strong point as must prioritisation, as you will be working on multiple projects simultaneously. As you’ll be joining a fast paced environment you must be comfortable with hitting the ground running.
