The Trust is currently is undertaking a major programme of clinical transformation that will deliver new operating models of care across the organisation.

The ICT innovations and projects helping us to achieve this include links between key corporate systems to enable sharing of information, a replacement EPR system, Electronic Document Management system, Point of Care Testing, increasing integration with our Health Partners and working toward a Local Unified Care record.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Head of Programmes and Projects, with experience of successful implementation through the Programmes and Projects lifecycle.

This is a key role in leading the ICT Programme and Projects team, ensuring the delivery, prioritisation, governance and reporting of the Trust's major ICT Programmes and projects (including CIP delivery).

You will be responsible for the ICT Programme and Project Portfolio including managing the Programme and Project managers, liaising closely with other teams in the ICT department, Trust PMO, developing and maintaining key corporate systems as well as implementing innovations and delivering ICT solutions that translate into tangible clinical benefit for patients.

Significant Programme Management experience, application of PRINCE 2 (or equivalent methodology), strong influencing skills, the ability act on your initiative, excellent communication skills in both written and oral media and a demonstrable record of successful implementation to time and budget are essentials for the role.

You will have a comprehensive understanding of the issues challenging large Acute Trusts in implementing ICT solutions as well as national priorities and strategies.
