An award-winning online company with brand new offices in Manchester city centre have an opportunity for a Web Security expert to play a critical role in the security testing process. You'll be investigating vulnerabilities and threats to one of the world's highest traffic websites so it's a fantastic chance to move your career rapidly within a well-known and rewarding company.
This firm develop and support high performance online systems within an incredibly fast-paced environment. You will join a team of Information Security experts who are:
* identifying vulnerabilities
* conducting source code review (C# ASP.NET)
* ethical hacking
* black box testing
* web app pen testing
* conducting security and forensic investigations
* writing detailed Information Security documentation
It's likely you will have progressed your career from a software development perspective - you will be able to write or, at the very least, read code in C# / VB.NET and ASP.NET.
You will bring in-depth knowledge of dealing with web application and website attacks. You may bring experience of identifying web security vulnerabilities like weak encryption, failure to enforce HTTPS, Cross Site Scripting, Cross Site Request Forgery and SQL Injection
At a senior level you'll be tasked with leading projects in conjunction with the Development Manager. You'll identify new tools to aid security testing, build relationships across different teams and also mentor / support more inexperience members of the team.
You will be working within a constantly evolving industry so no two days are the same! This firm take a really pragmatic approach as they need to deliver extremely quickly - you'll be comfortable working in a non-corporate and non-bureaucratic environment.
Naturally this Web Application Security Analyst will be extremely process-driven and meticulous - you will constantly be aware of potential threats and gaps within the software development estate. As the business continues its rapid growth you'll be involved in the development of new systems and promoting the benefits of a robust and secure IT environment.
Salary package is c£75k with bonus, pension, 25 days' holiday, childcare vouchers and more included in the benefits package.
