Web Design Project Manager / Lead

Stoke, Staffordshire

£40-50k with benefits (car, bonus, 25 days' holiday, pension, childcare vouchers, heavily subsidised food and drink and more). Monday-Friday, normal working hours.

We need a Web Design Project Manager or Project Lead to join an award-winning tech-led firm to deliver in-house designs across desktop websites, mobile and tablet. We are looking for an experienced person to lead a small team of Web Designers. You may currently be in a Senior / Lead Web Design position and wanting to move away from being hands-on, or you may be in a similar Project Manager / Web Design Manager role.

Your role will be to run project teams, track projects and, importantly, mitigate risk. You will manage multiple small pieces of work on a daily basis and be fully immersed in the web design lifecycle (as opposed to looking in on it). You will be the key figure setting expectations for Web Designers and keeping them motivated and enthused.

You will be able to see when things are going wrong before they happen - whether that be Designers' heads dropping or design timescales slipping.

You'll manage a team who are designing mock-ups and wireframes for the user journey before passing projects on to Web Developers. It's a tight-knit team with a strong retention rate and you'll also be working with a wider group of Developers and Project Managers.

This firm are based in Stoke so are easily commutable 45 minutes from the likes of Congleton, Northwich, Leek, Uttoxeter, Stafford, Crewe, Derby and Burton.
