You will act as both a consultant for vendors as well as an escalation manager for other support staff, you will have an analytical mind capable of troubleshooting complex issues.
VMWare and Cloud are critical components of the role and you will be expected to play a key role in the lead of Cloud Migration Projects.
There will also be elements of project design and delivery based on client requirements.
The skill set in demand consists of:
Office 365 - all aspects including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Lync Online and Azure AD Connect and Single Sign On.
Azure - demonstrable experience of migrating workloads to Azure VMs & services use of Azure AD.
Exchange - especially project lead and demonstrable hands-on experience migrating on-premise Exchange to Office 365 Exchange Online.
Windows Server - Server 2008 onwards with in-depth understanding of AD, DNS & DHCP.
Terminal Server/RDS - Server 2008 onwards including load balancing & VDI.
Network Infrastructure - in-depth TCP/IP knowledge with experience in enterprise level devices such as Cisco, CheckPoint, HP, Watchguard or SonicWALL.
WAN technologies - MPLS and Ethernet-based connectivity.
Configuration of VLANs & VPNs on switches and routers
Virtualization - Hyper-V & VMWare including clustering and shared storage devices.
Experience of VoIP telephony & other cloud-related services such as AWS would be beneficial.
