Enigma People Solutions is seeking a graduate Analogue IC Design Engineer to join our client’s European Design Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Critical to the company’s new product development plans, the Centre designs advanced power control IC's for a broad range of product applications.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will work on motor control mixed-signal IC’s with responsibilities ranging from cell design to whole chip development. You will take a project from the preliminary data sheet stage through circuit architecture, design, simulation, supervising layout and on to bench evaluation and debugging.
The job remit includes the following:
· Transistor level MOS and bipolar analogue design - blocks such as comparators, charge pumps, op-amps, power stages, linear regulators, ADC’s etc.
· Design of analog and mixed-signal systems/architectures and building blocks including testing and supervision of layout activities
· Bench evaluation of silicon.
Experience and Education:
The successful candidate will possess at least a 2:1(Hon’s) Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field. Preference will be given to candidates who also possess the following:
· Familiarity with motor control methods and power switching techniques.
· Experience with mixed-signal design environments.
· Experience with Cadence Virtuoso/Spectre design tools.
