As the team’s Digital Delivery Manager, we’ll look to you to take the lead on exciting and innovative agile projects across the Defra group. You’ll inspire and oversee talented project teams, offering clear direction based on user needs and an important vision. More than just introducing new services and directing projects, you’ll use your expertise and enthusiasm to change how Defra does business and embed a new ‘digital by default’ culture. One of the important challenges of your role will be to bring customers and colleagues with you, making sure that services meet requirements and are aligned with the project vision. An influential leader, you’ll build great relationships with teams and senior stakeholders across Defra, and work collaboratively to make sure all work is scoped, planned, managed and delivered brilliantly. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to build on your portfolio of delivering Agile projects in a dynamic environment.
About you
Having delivered large digital projects using agile frameworks tools and techniques, you understand just what it takes to get others on board with new approaches and an innovative vision. You’ll be an inspiring leader with plenty of experience of mentoring, coaching and building excellent working relationships with your team and stakeholders at all levels. You’re someone who thinks ahead, thrives on challenge and solves issues swiftly. With a focus on the bigger picture and an eye on the finer detail, you’ll identify trends, potential risks and pitfalls and work out ways that they can be solved or avoided. If you’ve previously worked in the public sector or a large, complex organisation before, even better.
