RF Systems Engineer - Wireless Communications - Reading
A unique opportunity has come up for an RF systems engineer to join a leading wireless communication company at the fore-front of LTE technology. The company now require extra resource in the RF design team to meet 3GPP specifications and test the overall designs of new LTE movements.
Role: RF Systems Engineer
Location: Reading
Salary: £50,000
Length: Permanent
The Role:
* Project Technical Lead of a System Design Project life Cycle from first concept to Performance Qualification.
* Support the RFIC team across multiple engineering sites but also encompass other engineering activities.
* RF Test & Analysis of RF performances in accordance with the LTE 3GPP Specification.
* Bring up & Debug of hardware and software Systems.
Key skills/Knowledge:
* RF integration - Hardware and Software on various hardware platforms.
* Able to analyse and understand RF test results at varying degrees of detail level.
* Familiar with circuit schematic and layout tools (PAD's would be beneficial)
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of advanced telecom standard is preferred e.g. LTE, UMTS and/or WiMAX.
* Experience with a programming language, including Python, Matlab, C, Perl etc.
* Hands on Practical soldering of small SMD components down to 0201 size
* Layer 1 RF driver control methodology.
