Unix Application Support Engineer/Systems Administrator

A leading, global financial software vendor who provide a range of trading solutions to the global finance industry are currently looking to expand their Software Support team based in the City (nr Liverpool St station), and as such have an opening for a talented Application Support Analyst.

This role would be ideal for someone who is currently in a Unix or Linux Systems Administration role, who would like to make the step into the world of financial services. My client will provide business and operational training on the finance specific elements of the role, giving the successful candidate some superb exposure to investment banking, hedge fund and trading technology.

The role primarily involves working with traders from Investment Banks and Hedge Funds, supporting the buy-side trading software however is also very varied. Other responsibilities include implementation work, operational support, analysis, fault finding, client facing account management, involvement in scripting and coding (if the applicant has experience in this area) and the possibility of global travel to their overseas clients.
