Our client specialises in providing data centre, cloud, connectivity and voice solutions. They are now looking for a Systems Administrator to join their team.

Within an exciting and forward-thinking environment, you’ll have the chance to explore the capabilities of upcoming IT solutions and play a key role in ensuring our client has the latest technologies on offer.

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our client’s large Linux infrastructure.

Mentoring and guiding members of the Technical Team, you will share your knowledge of technologies and techniques to develop their skills and enable them to fulfil their potential.

Building strong working relationships, you will monitor servers on customer platforms to maximise uptime and ensure a superb level of service is delivered.

Additionally, you will liaise with the Solutions Department to monitor newly on-boarded solutions and recommend innovative ways to further enhance operations.

As part of your role, you will be required to work on an on call rota, covering evenings and weekends when necessary.

To be considered, you must have:

- Previous experience as a systems administrator

- Experience with Amazon Web Services

- A track record of scripting using Python, Ruby, BASH or similar

- Knowledge of automation technologies, such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef or SaltStack

- An understanding or version control systems, such as Git, Mercurial or SVN

- Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL technologies and use cases

Analytical and logical, as a Systems Administrator, you must have a strong customer focus with excellent problem-solving skills. You must also be a confident communicator with the ability to effectively prioritise your workload.
