Senior Test and Commissioning Engineer (Distribution)

Are you a Senior Test and Commissioning Engineer (Distribution) looking for work for a forward thinking company who have just won multiple contacts and are looking to grow and develop the business, you will be a key part of their transformation.

This is a well-established company within the specialist field of High and Low Voltage Switchgear. They offer a variety of solutions for all HV/LV Power Engineering Requirements, including Protection, Metering and Control Equipment.

You will be responsible for leading the testing and commissioning of the Power Distribution equipment across the NEP project. As a senior test and commissioning engineer you will be based in the Manchester Square 1 office but attending all sites across the NEP footprint, and will be reporting in to the Test and Commissioning Manager of all the key responsibilities.

The responsibilities will include making sure the safe delivery of all Power and Distribution tests and commissioning across the NEP project from design through to entry into service.

You'll be responsible for producing and managing the test and commissioning strategy across all phases and throughout the lifecycle of the project, liaising with procurement teams, designers, project managers and planners to deliver the works successfully.

Senior test and commissioning engineer (Power Distribution) key responsibilities will be as follows:

*Production and management of test and commissioning strategy which will require liaising with design teams including other disciplines e.g. Civil, Signalling and Telecoms etc.

*Produce of management of all test and commissioning procedures

*Production and management of test and commissioning programmes, and liaising with the project planners to feed into the overall programme.

*Review and approval of all inspection and test plans

*Review and approval of all test and commissioning plans for entry into service

*Assist with the production and approval of isolation diagrams and instructions

*Managing the hand back of all as built information including:

*Drawings

*Protection settings and files

*Configuration files

*Responsible for configuration management

*Managing and setting up the process for operation and maintenance training to maintainers of

Qualification/experience

*5 - 10 years test and commissioning experience in the Power Distribution industry

*Experience of railway integrated protection and control schemes (IPC IEC61850 preferable)

*Experience and understanding of the following testing;

*FAT testing

*Integrated FAT testing

*Integrated SAT testing

*Soak testing

*Section proving

*Short Circuit testing

*VL/VT testing

*Load and directional testing

*NWR Distribution level A/B

*Experience in the production of test and commissioning procedures and plans

*Experience and understanding of European, British and NWR standards

*Experience and understanding of NWR possession and isolation planning
