Senior Java developer

Contract

North UK

The developer will fulfil the following duties & tasks within the project:

*Develop Java applications and components

*Translate the non functional requirements (e.g. performance, reliability) into technical designs for meeting these requirements;

*Diagnosis of performance problems

*Write unit tests and/or integration tests for software components;

*Report progress status to Project Manager

Essential Experience & Skills:

*6 years' experience in Java

*Experience with working with SOA & Integration via an ESB product/ Integration frameworks (JBoss Fuse ESB, Mule ESB, Spring Integration, WebSphere ESB, Apache Camel)

*Previous experience on a large scale integration projects involving messaging, web services and distributed systems.

*Agile development experience (Scrum)

*Knowledge of continuous delivery and continuous integration methodologies

*1 year experience working on multi developer projects using collaboration tools like code repository, work item management and Continuous Integration tools

*Knowledge of Maven

*Knowledge of SQL
