Your key responsibilities as a Project Manager would be to:

  • Manage a portfolio of technology projects and programmes: Overseeing multidisciplinary teams you will be critical to delivering across the project lifecycle from discovery, analysis and design through to build, configuration, and deployment.
  • Understand our customers and their business: Working with our Customer Success Managers, you will build lasting relationships with customers from a variety of sectors, understanding their key business processes to help them realise business benefits through the successful implementation of GIS technologies.
  • Adapt and tailor your approach to deliver customer success: Applying the most appropriate delivery methodology to each project (agile, waterfall etc.) to manage scope, schedule, budget and risk to ensure our projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate and build successful teams: Working in partnership with our solution architects, using effective communication and leadership help to get the best out of your project teams, continuing to make Esri UK a great place to work.

  • Have project management experience (essential) preferably in the IT industry, working with different delivery methodologies.
  • Are a good communicator, comfortable engaging at all levels, with good stakeholder management skills.
  • Can understand a challenge from multiple perspectives and lead/guide a team to a successful outcome.
  • Communicate technical ideas clearly, adapting to suit your audience.
  • Can evaluate and translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions.
  • Build great business relationships and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Are self-motivated, enjoy multi-tasking and love problem solving.
  • Would enjoy the challenge of delivering large transformational projects and collaborating with other delivery partners. 
  • Have previously delivered IT projects, including system integration, cloud / software as a service infrastructure and configuration / custom development.
  • Knowledge of GIS is helpful but not essential for this role.
  • Security: Because of the types of data and clients we work with, all our positions require successful candidates to undergo a basic security clearance.
