About this OpportunityThis role sits within our Customer Service Transformation Lab, a co-located team within the Colleague Channels Platform. As a Software Engineer within this Lab you'll work together with a cross functional team on key initiatives, to deliver value at pace by designing services colleagues and customers find useful, intuitive, and engaging to use, transforming their experience. Here's where you'll make a differenceYou'll collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and Senior Engineers to produce high quality, well tested and robust code.You'll support the maintenance and improvement of existing software as well as the development of API's and Microservices.You'll have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and understanding as well as practice and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for the role.This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a team delivering regulatory and technology change! What you'll needProven experience as an Engineer in Software Development.Ability to understand complex business requirements and create business ready and compliant solutions.Essential Languages: Java, Spring Boot or similar frameworksDesirable Languages: ReactJS or knowledge of JavaScript, Nodejs, TypeScriptExperience of Kubernetes and container managementDockerBuilding RESTful services or Web UIUnderstanding of the full software development lifecycle and modern software development practicesExperience of working as part of an agile team using agile practices and tooling such as Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence.
