Software Tester

Integrated software testing within software product development cycles

Based in central Cambridge (close to bus and train links), this 40+ people office is the UK software team. They are a collaborative group, who look to support, empower and develop people's skills and experience leading to long-term employment. Flexible working is available which typically includes up to 2 days per week in the office.

They currently seek a Software Tester to join their team. This person would work side-by-side with software engineers and product owners, and provide significant input into the entire software product cycle. The group uses an agile approach which can include XP practices. As a Software Tester, you would follow a context-driven testing approach, ensuring that customers' needs are met within the product / features. Testing includes exploratory testing, automated testing and development of test scripts / frameworks. The company provides time for people to take online training courses to improve skills as well as attend conferences and local meetups.

Requirements:

• STEM degree (ideally in computer science), and industry experience as a software tester, software analyst or software developer.
• Demonstrable project experience working with complex commercial software products.
• A test mentality - curious, inquisitive and enjoys problem solving.
• Good communication skills and understanding how to translate business requirements to feasible actions.
• Experience with automated testing tools.
