Buyer Avonmouth, Bristol (BS11) -Office based role £30-35K. 39 Hours/week, Mon-Fri-Flexible hours available Are you a buyer/purchasing/procurement professional looking for a new permanent position with a growing manufacturing business? The position can offer autonomy and the opportunity for medium/long term progression and the company continue to grow. The client is open to a candidates sector background as long as you have the right buying/purchasing/procurement background and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. This will be a stand along position so the role will be very varied and include all aspects of a day to day buying role, along with the opportunity to make long term improvements to the buying function within the business. The role

1. Full time, permanent buyer role with a growing manufacturer based on the outskirts of Bristol
2. All aspects of a day to day Buyer role including contract negotiation, managing supply chains, new supplier agreements and sourcing materials.
3. Continuously improve the buying function within the business by studying market trends and implementing best practice to cut down lead times and costs

The Person

1. Experience in a buying/purchasing or procurement role. Sector experience not necessary.
2. Experience using a ERP/MRP system
3. Ideally some knowledge of making process improvements using lean methodologies
4. UK driving licence is preferred as occasional travel to the companies sister site in Newport.
