Job Title: Principal Training Designer

Location: Broad Oak, Frimley or Weymouth - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for the Training Solution deliverables, acting as the training solution focal point for BAE Systems Submarines, with the Customer
  • Facilitate the identification, elicitation, capture and management of a complete set of individual training requirements
  • Carry out the design of training solutions, including the identification of optimal blended learning and training approaches
  • Lead development of media procurement requirements and ensure appropriate reporting on design, testing and delivery
  • Produce formal training management documentation in support training delivery and assessment
  • Collaborate with multimedia specialists, graphic designers, and developers to integrate multimedia elements into instructional materials
  • Work with all stakeholders to create and maintain a culture of collaboration and co-operation in the delivery of high-quality, value for money deliverables
  • Manage training programme design solutions in accordance with the Company's corporate governance policies, processes, and procedures

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven ability to design and evaluate training solutions including describing the course process
  • Experience in the development and delivery environment and have contributed to the design of significant training courses
  • A good working knowledge of the training design and development processes for training media
  • Expertise in Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) compliant training solutions

Desirable:

  • Experience in the use of programme management tools and applications
  • Detailed knowledge of MOD procedures and policies associated with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT)
  • Experience of working on projects related to defence-based Maritime environments
  • Educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant industry experience, and hold recognised Training Qualification(s) to support role activities

The Training Services team:

BAE Systems Submarines require a Training Solution Designer with experience in designing individual blended training solutions for the UK Defence Market. You will have the opportunity to deliver training solutions for our MOD customer in support of future contract deliverables. You will be directly involved in designing optimal blended training solutions taking into account compliance and governance and applying a Systems Approach to Training.
