Great opportunity for a Software/Application Developer to join our team to take responsibility for the development and support of our Pensions Office.

What You'll Be Doing:

'€¢Developing solutions for new requirements and enhancements & fixes to existing modules.

'€¢Assisting with resolving incidents.

'€¢Producing documentation to agreed standards.

'€¢Maintaining high coding standards.

'€¢Delivering to agreed schedules.

'€¢Performing System Testing on new or existing systems as required.

'€¢Ensuring system issues and faults are resolved effectively.

'€¢Working closely with the Senior Systems Analyst to ensure delivery of client solutions.

'€¢Ensuring efficient escalation of higher priority calls (ie P1's and Major Incidents) to your line manager.

'€¢Ensuring all development adheres to the agreed development lifecycle.

What we're looking for:

Currently looking for junior and experienced developers to join our team with the below skills or as many as possible. We are open to training you but need some experience in the below for our junior position.

'€¢Good software and application development experience

'€¢Knowledge of ASP .Net with Core MVC, ASP .Net Razor, and ability to design and develop code to create solutions.

'€¢Ability to develop web-based interfaces using HTML, CSS, JSP, Javascript and JQuery.

'€¢Ability to manage a Relational database (MS SQL Server, Sybase ASE and Oracle). Including, how to create and modify database, tables and indexes, logical and physical database layouts, database management, security, backup and recovery technique.

'€¢Ability to manage a database for optimum performance.

'€¢Degree in Computer Science or similar

'€¢Able to use MS Excel, Outlook and Project

'€¢High level of attention to detail

'€¢Ability to analyse complex problems and create innovative solutions using front-end coding techniques

'€¢Good interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Skills

'€¢MS Visio- Confident with the conventions for swim lane, use case and class diagrams and able to apply hyperlinks between objects on diagrams

'€¢Knowledge of the Solaris and/or Linux operating system

'€¢Experience of managing and deploying applications in a Citrix environment
