About the role:

Capacity Manager is responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient capacity to meet the demands of the business, maintain service levels in a cost-effective manner. The role will act as a lead subject matter expert for Capacity Management and related Demand management activities in order to continuously improve the way in which Capita manages its IT service resources, meets business objectives and reduces risk to service. The Capacity Manager is responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient IT capacity to meet current and future business demands of both internal and external clients in a cost effective manner. The role will act as a lead subject matter expert for Capacity Management activities in order to continuously improve the way in which Capita TSS manages its IT service resources, meets business objectives and reduces risk to service What you will be doing:  Ensure that appropriate levels of monitoring of resources and system performance are set, track IT resource usage and promptly identify any capacity issues; provide capacity trending information to allow for forecasting future capacity requirements '€¢Produce high quality reports on capacity and performance of Services against capacity targets contained in SLAs for Capita clients, ensure any capacity constraints or risks are resolved appropriately '€¢Where applicable, produce capacity plans in line with the organisation's business planning cycle, identifying capacity requirements early enough to take account of procurement lead times '€¢Document up to date information to support Capacity Management activities. This may involve liaising with internal and third party providers to collect information '€¢Contribute to the development of Capacity Management process and polices and ensure adherence in providing support to IT Services '€¢Liaise with relevant stakeholders to maintain knowledge of future demand for Services and predict the effects of demand on service levels and resultant capacity requirements '€¢Ensure requirements for reliability, performance and availability are taken into account in all capacity planning and sizing activities. '€¢Assist with capacity impact assessment for any major changes to IT service or component, this includes attending relevant Change Advisory Boards (CABs)  '€¢Assist with the design of new services to advise on required levels of service from Capacity Management point of view '€¢Support the investigation and resolution of any Capacity related incidents and ensure appropriate Service Improvement Plan (SIP) is initiated to prevent reoccurrence What we are looking for: Proven experience of working in Service Delivery / Service Management within a large outsourced environment spanning multiple geographies and business units. This experience may have been gained on the client side or with a large service provider / service integrator  '€¢Experience working in an environment based on best practice frameworks such as ITIL '€¢Cloud Capacity Management and Optimisation '€¢Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure and application technologies '€¢Experience in handling complex situations and escalations '€¢Experience in incident and problem resolution and Continuous Service Improvement CSI '€¢Proven ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders Must have active SC or be eligible for SC What's in it for you?
