Compliance Advisory Manager - Workplace Pensions

Introduction:

 

Wipro Financial Outsourcing Services Ltd (WFOSL) is looking for a Compliance Advisory Manager - Workplace Pensions with previous experience of advising on policies and SOP’s as well as regulatory interpretation covering trust-based Workplace Pensions. This is a new role which will be at the heart of the growth agenda for the organisation. The role will have a primary focus on leading the delivery of one of our core strategic deals, whilst also contributing to the wider development of our financial outsourcing services.

Wipro Financial Outsourcing Services Ltd. (WFOSL) is a separate legal entity, authorised by the FCA and has been set up by Wipro to provide regulated outsourcing services within the Financial Services industry.

Our client is a leading provider for workplace pension schemes and WFOSL will be providing business and technology process outsourcing services and providing end to end front and back office operations support. 

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

As a Compliance Advisory Manager - Workplace Pensions you will:

  • Help set all guidance & Policies beyond just regulatory needs
  • Advise on proposed Operational Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) pre implementation and suggest amendments and/or enhanced controls where needed
  • Deliver initial training as transformation commences
  • Ensure aware of all regulatory changes that may affect the business, analyse as to effect and possible changes in Operations and ensure disseminated to Management as early as possible
  • Where necessary during Consultation phase engage with Regulators and/or industry colleagues to ensure practical considerations take into account
  • Assist in implementing any changes to SOPs required (and necessary training provided)
  • Likewise engage with Regulators when business plans or regulatory permissions change
  • Advise the business on regulatory interpretation as required on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure all required routine training available/delivered as transition phase commences and ongoing for onboarding employees or as annual mandatory training
  • Advise on breaches and complaints management
  • Liaise with/oversee offshore colleagues in same function (as to their obligation with local regulatory needs)

Mandatory Skills:

  • Previous experience of advising on Policies and SOPs
  • Ongoing advisory regulatory interpretation, covering trust-based Workplace Pensions
  • Previous experience of contract-based pensions and other Retail Investments is desirable

Qualifications:

  • At least Degree Level / equivalent
  • Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. awarded by CISI, CII, PMI)

  • Ability to work without supervision and under pressure

  • Professional manner with the ability to influence and persuade
  • Must be a skilled communicator and able to deal with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and financial regulator
