A new opportunity has arisen for a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer to join an established global company working on world leading precision timing products at their new design centre in Cambridge.

To further complement their growing Analog IC Design team, they are looking for a Principal Analog IC Designer with the skills and enthusiasm to significantly enhance the companies competitive position by delivering robust, high performance custom Analog integrated circuits.

In this role you will work and collaborate in the team to develop ASICs for Ultra-Stable Reference Oscillator (TCXO, OCXO) applications requiring critical high stability and low-noise designs for ultra low-phase-noise oscillators

Responsibilities include:

  • Work as a Principal Analog IC Design engineer in an ASIC design team focused on ultra-stable low-phase-noise oscillator products
  • Design, simulate and verify Analog circuits to confirm correct operation and compliance with target performance specifications
  • Provide specialist design input into the development of new products
  • Specification of new devices and the selection of appropriate technology nodes
  • Devise circuit solutions for complex functions and control schemes required to deliver target system performance
  • Capture schematic designs in accordance with the standards developed and specified by the design team.
The successful Principal Analog IC Design Engineer will have 10+ years of Analog IC Design experience with a proven track record in full ASIC design using mixed BJT and CMOS technologies.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated capabilities for Circuit analysis and delivery of design solutions
  • Expert knowledge of Cadence tool workflow for schematic capture, simulation and layout
  • In-depth experience in the design of bandgaps, LDOs, and Opamps
  • Experience in developing high-performance custom Analog integrated circuits that have gone into production
You will be a proactive, self-starter who is able to work on own initiative and a strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
