Here's where you'll make a difference: This is an excellent opportunity for a driven candidate to join us as an Android Engineering Lead working across several cross-disciplinary feature teams providing engineering leadership and expertise. You will be passionate about designing and delivering scalable mobile applications. You will: Collaborate with solution architects, UI/UX designers, API development team and proposition managers to refine and implement features Act as an authority with knowledge of best practice Android UI/UX design principles and patterns Demonstrate leadership for mobile architecture Provide mentoring and supporting for Android development team members Help create prototypes to explore innovative solutions and features In return, you'll enjoy an exciting, innovative environment which supports flexible and agile working. As a minimum to be considered, we would like to see demonstrated core experience in:Professional working knowledge in designing a mobile experience for variable screen sizes in variable versions of AndroidExcellent knowledge of Kotlin/JavaStrong knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practicesExperience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuningAwesome knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks and benchmarking and optimisationProficient in Google's Android design principles, interface guidelines and code versioning tools, such as GitApplying SOLID PrinciplesMVVM/MVI architecture, Android Architecture Components and other Jetpack librariesJetpack ComposeWorking in a modularised codebaseUI testing It would also be great if you had experience in: Application security principals, cryptography and secure coding techniques React / AngularJS frameworks Strong understanding of source code repositories and change management tools, Git. Experience of working with Docker or other containerisation technologies Experience of successfully implementing and using CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of agile development practices and test automation (Unit/Integration/E2E testing - Jest/Testing Library/Cucumber/Cypress). Displaying a DevOps mindset and ability to use tools like Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform Experience with build processes and release automation (Azure/GCP Pipelines, Nexus).
