Developing Linux based security technology for enterprise product software

Based in central Cambridge (close to rail and road links), this software team develop a range of endpoint security products used by global business users. They are hiring a Linux Software Developer to join their advanced product team where responsibilities will include Open-Source components, virtual machine maintenance, and responding to security vulnerabilities. The work can be fast-paced and evolve rapidly, so understanding of automated testing is required.

Requirements:

  • Expertise with C or C++ programming on Linux.
  • Experience with Yocto (other similar and relevant Open Source project experience would be considered).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Linux kernel.
  • Experience with complex system debugging.
  • Additional exposure to network protocols (TCP/IP) and black box debugging would be desirable. Further, experience with Windows kernel would be advantageous.

Applicants are expected to have a STEM degree but of more importance is demonstrable, relevant project experience.
