A global market leader in the development of design solutions is looking for an inspired an experienced Engineer to joint them as Applications Engineer in Southern Germany.  In this role you will use your skills in IC Design methodology to enable Semiconductors companies adopting solutions and associated IC design methodologies. The Application Engineer will work with some of the most technically demanding IC design development solutions and small process nodes.

The Applications Engineer is credible to articulate design development solutions with an emphasis on custom IC design platform. In a customer facing and commercially sensitive working environment, you will be responsible for actively assisting customers and prospective customers in resolving customers design challenges while promoting design development solutions. You will provide design environment assessments and consulting services and the customer in the successful deployment of design flows and associated methodologies.You goal is to build long term customer relationship through understanding customer’s needs and developing sales strategies while improving pre-existing and new design methodologies.

As the successful Principal Applications Engineer you are industry degree qualified in Microelectronics Engineering and have the following skills:

  • BSc required, MSc/MEng preferred in micro-electronics engineering
  • Have a 7+ years relevant industry experience on IC design or technical support of IC design
  • 5+ years industry experience of analog/mixed-signal verification and simulation flows, preferably using Virtuoso ADE tooling, Spectre, AMS Designer and associated verification methodologies such as UVM
  • Experiences in mixed-signal behavioral modelling with (VerilogAMS, SystemVerilog) are of advantage
  • Experience of UNIX environments; knowledge of SKILL, C or other computer language(s).

  • A team player who is passionate about technology but also understands business requirements
