AWE's Facility Design Authority is now recruiting for a Mechanical Handling Senior Design Engineer to provide guidance and advice that ensures utilities, infrastructure, engineering processes, equipment and facilities are compliant with legislation, standards and requirements associated with engineering designs throughout their lifecycle.

Location: Reading / Basingstoke Area

Package: £42,650 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)

This opportunity would be a great match for a qualified Engineer with working knowledge of developing conventional, high hazard or nuclear handling designs including cranes, lifting attachments, trolleys etc. Working experience of Finite Element Analysis would be highly beneficial, although not essential.

As a Mechanical Handling Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring AWE Mechanical Handling standards are current and conform to National/International/Defence Standards.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role and be willing and able to travel within the UK and overseas as required (if applicable) once restrictions are lifted.
